According to Dr. Scheiner, foods like rice cakes and puffed quinoa crackers, while low in calories, can rapidly convert into glucose.

Despite their reputation as superfoods, acai and smoothie bowls can harbor excessively high sugar levels from added fruits, honey, and granola.
