This esteemed list acknowledges outstanding pubs across the UK, with the official Top 50 soon to be revealed on Monday, January 26.

While The George is the sole Gloucestershire pub featured in this segment of the list, other notable venues from the wider Cotswolds region also earned recognition. The Castle Inn in Castle Combe ranked 53rd, narrowly outpacing The George, followed by The Royal Oak in Chipping Norton at 84th and the Double Red Duke in Clanfield at 87th.
As detailed by Estrella Damm, the Top 50 Gastropub Awards are determined by votes from hospitality industry insiders, making it a peer-reviewed accolade celebrating the best in British pubs. Since 2019, the 51-100 list has further showcased culinary excellence within the pub sector. The voting academy consists of over 350 industry experts, including gastropub operators, food writers, chefs, pub guide editors, and senior hospitality figures, ensuring a comprehensive and authoritative selection.
