Gloucester Rugby have proudly announced that George Barton, a talented homegrown player, has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension.
A product of the Gloucester Rugby Academy, 25-year-old Barton debuted for the senior team in 2019 against London Irish. Since then, he has appeared over 70 times for the Cherry and Whites, contributing nearly 400 points across competitions.
Versatile in his roles, Barton excels both at full-back and fly-half, delivering memorable performances in the Gallagher Premiership, Premiership Rugby Cup, and European tournaments.

Gloucester’s head coach, George Skivington, expressed his enthusiasm: “George is highly valued by the club and our supporters, especially as a local talent. He brings fierce competitiveness and the ability to cover multiple positions, with one of the best kicking success rates in the Premiership.
“I believe his best performances are still ahead of him, and I’m thrilled he’s chosen to remain at his hometown club.”
