Andrew Crook, president of the National Federation of Fish Friers, commented, “Good Friday is a huge trading day on the fish and chip shop calendar, and making the top 40 fish and chip Takeaway of the Year list is a huge achievement for these outlets.”
The winner of this year’s top award was Yarm Road Fish and Chips in Darlington, while second place went to the Fish Works in Lard, Scotland, and Kellaway’s Fish and Chips in Cornwall secured the third spot.
