Equinox Maintenance Limited, a long-standing computer maintenance company based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, has entered administration after 42 years of operation. The privately-owned business, located on Shannon Way at the eastern edge of the town, officially ceased trading on July 1, 2026.
A statement on the company’s website announced the appointment of Joint Administrators Joph Young and Liz Welch from Leonard Curtis at 10:42 am on that day. The company confirmed that “as a result of the appointment of the Joint Administrators, the company has ceased trading.” Creditors, debtors, or those with stock on the premises have been advised to contact the Joint Administrators via phone or email for further assistance.
Leonard Curtis has so far declined to provide additional comments, stating that their marketing department will issue further information in due course.
Founded in 1984, Equinox Maintenance Limited operated under various names throughout its history and had been a fixture of the Tewkesbury business community for more than four decades. Previously located at Southwick Park on the town’s southern edge, the company relocated in 2011 to its current premises.
According to its LinkedIn page, Equinox employed between 51 and 200 staff. A recorded phone message to the company now directs callers to the administrators and confirms that no new work can be undertaken.
Companies House lists the business category as the repair of electrical equipment, and recent Google reviews indicate that the company serviced a range of devices including televisions, printers, computer monitors, vacuum cleaners, and audio-visual systems.
Social media reports suggest that the administration has led to staff redundancies, with one former employee describing the closure as “a shock to us all” and expressing concern over the impact on colleagues seeking new employment.
Google currently shows the business status as “permanently closed,” and the formal notice of administration was filed in the Gazette on July 6, 2026, marking a significant moment in the company’s long history within the Gloucestershire area.
