Tewkesbury man subject to anti-social behaviour injunction following violent incidents

A Tewkesbury man has been subjected to a legal injunction banning him from contacting certain individuals and from entering various parts of the town following a series of violent incidents.

Kevin Joyce, aged 32, from Court Farm Close in Pamington, was issued with an anti-social behaviour injunction (ASBI) by Cheltenham and Gloucester County Court. Authorities cited his involvement in multiple violent occurrences, one notably involving a man being struck on the head with a sledgehammer.

The court heard concerns about Joyce’s actions posing a significant risk to public safety, leading the judge to grant the order.

Under the terms of the ASBI, Joyce is prohibited from engaging in behaviour likely to cause alarm or distress, and from threatening violence towards any person within Tewkesbury town centre, Priors Park, and Walton Cardiff areas. Additionally, he is barred from entering or being present in these locations and from contacting the named individuals at any time.

The injunction, issued on 27 August 2026, remains in effect until 4pm on 16 July 2027. Should Joyce breach any condition, he faces immediate arrest.

Police Constable Emily Fagan commented, “Joyce’s behaviour had become increasingly concerning, and this injunction will help improve the quality of life for local residents and protect the most vulnerable members of our communities. We take all reports of anti-social behaviour and violence very seriously and will respond robustly to any concerns raised.”

Gloucestershire Police have urged anyone witnessing a breach of the injunction to contact them via 101 or by completing the designated online reporting form.
