Terror in Cheltenham Town Centre as Woman Launches Violent Street Rampage

A disturbing series of attacks unfolded in Cheltenham town centre yesterday afternoon when an unknown woman launched a violent rampage, grabbing a mother and child and assaulting multiple bystanders.

Between 1pm and 4pm on Monday, June 1, several members of the public reported being attacked along High Street. Eyewitnesses described the woman grabbing a mother and her young child outside Poundland at around 1:10pm before continuing her spree.

According to Gloucestershire Police, the woman pushed an elderly lady to the ground outside McDonald’s, kicked a man, snatched someone’s glasses, and punched another man twice near the junction of Bath Road and Cedar Court Road.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “Officers attended the scene promptly and, after investigation, identified a woman in her 30s from Winchcombe as the suspect. She has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and remains in police custody.”

While several victims have been identified, police are still seeking contact with three witnesses or victims who have yet to come forward. Authorities urge anyone who was targeted or witnessed the incidents to provide information by submitting an online report quoting occurrence number 53260041960.

The police continue to investigate these unsettling events and stress the importance of community assistance in ensuring public safety.
