A 16-year-old boy is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital following an incident in Gloucester on Sunday evening, 20 September.
Gloucestershire Police were alerted by the ambulance service at approximately 9pm regarding a child in a critical state on Wheatway, Abbeydale. Paramedics swiftly transported the boy to hospital where he remains under medical care.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. It is believed that the boy was with two other teenagers near the Morrisons car park on Heron Way. The group was riding bicycles and e-scooters around 8:40pm.

Reports indicate that a second group of boys, also on bikes, followed the first group. According to a police spokesperson, “As the initial group moved away, it is understood that one of the boys fell from his bike, prompting emergency services to be called. Some of the boys then left the scene heading towards Brae Walk.”
Officers are working to establish what led to the fall and whether any criminal offences were involved. Four boys have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the investigation.
One individual, arrested on Tuesday, has since been released on police bail. The three others, who were arrested on Wednesday, remain in police custody for further questioning.
The group is believed to have travelled through The Wheatridge, Wheatway, and Heron Way prior to the incident.
