A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Gloucester. The incident occurred when the victim was pulled into a shop doorway, where the man held her in an unwanted embrace and attempted to kiss her. Police reported that he then inappropriately touched her beneath her clothing without consent.
Following a public appeal featuring CCTV footage, officers were able to identify and apprehend the suspect on Wednesday, February 25th. The accused has since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
