A 19-year-old man has been arrested following the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Gloucester. The incident occurred when the girl was pulled into a shop doorway and subjected to unwanted physical contact.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the victim was hugged tightly, and the man attempted to kiss her without consent. He then touched her under her clothing, including placing his hand beneath her underwear.
Authorities issued a CCTV appeal to identify the suspect, which led to the arrest of the 19-year-old on suspicion of sexual assault on Wednesday, February 25. He has been released on bail as investigations continue.
