Targeted Vehicle Collision in Gloucester Under Investigation

In the early hours of Thursday, July 2, at around 2:15 a.m., two vehicles were deliberately driven into each other on Beaufort Road in Gloucester, in what police describe as a “targeted attack.” By the time officers from Gloucestershire Police arrived, the vehicles had already fled the scene.

One of the vehicles involved has since been located, but no arrests have been made so far. Authorities believe the incident involved individuals known to each other, indicating it was not a random act.

Ongoing searches are underway in the area, with additional patrols being conducted by the Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team to maintain community safety and gather further information.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage to come forward. They are also requesting information regarding any other instances of vehicles being deliberately rammed into one another.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson stated: “Searches are continuing, and officers are increasing patrols in the vicinity. We encourage anyone with concerns or information to speak with our officers or contact us directly. Your assistance is vital to our investigation.”
