Dr Elliot, 59, admitted for chemotherapy treatment for leukemia at Cheltenham General Hospital, died just two weeks after admission due to sepsis caused by pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria found in his ensuite shower.
Court evidence revealed the bacteria was detected on August 1, 2022—over a week before Dr Elliot was placed in that room.
