Between August 2024 and July 2025, the pair met with men seeking sex work, taking financial deposits beforehand. Mihai, posing as a sex worker, would then secretly drug the victims with gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), a chemical that converts into GHB in the body, rendering them unconscious.
