For over 200 years, since opening in 1823, Cavendish House has been a cornerstone of Cheltenham’s Promenade, most recently serving as a House of Fraser department store from 1970 until its 2024 closure. After a brief reopening with nearly 30 independent pop-up stalls in May 2024, the building shut its doors indefinitely in January, leaving a void that local businesses and residents feel deeply.
