The 27-year-old, known for his tough tackling, joins the Robins after two seasons with League One side Rotherham United. McWilliams became available on a free transfer this summer after contract negotiations at the New York Stadium fell through. A product of Northampton Town’s academy, McWilliams broke into their first team in 2017 following a loan spell at King’s Lynn Town.
