Harrison Sohna, the talented left-footed midfielder formerly of Aston Villa and Sunderland, is currently on trial with Swindon Town as he seeks a new opportunity after being placed on the transfer list by Cheltenham Town.
Sohna signed a two-year contract with Cheltenham last summer, making a total of six League Two starts, along with two substitute appearances and four cup matches. Notably, he scored during Cheltenham’s EFL Trophy group stage victory over Newport County AFC.
Born in Gloucester, Sohna spent the latter half of the season on loan at National League side Wealdstone. His contributions helped the club secure a crucial 3-1 home win against Halifax Town on the final day, ensuring their survival in the league.

Despite interest from at least two National League clubs, Sohna is currently training under Swindon Town manager Ian Holloway at the County Ground, aiming to impress and earn a contract with the League Two outfit.
The midfielder, who turns 23 this Tuesday, previously made one EFL Cup appearance and three EFL Trophy outings for Sunderland after transferring there from Aston Villa in July 2021. He made his senior debut for Villa in an FA Cup tie against Liverpool in January 2021 and also scored for their Under-21s in an EFL Trophy match against Carlisle United.
