Police in Cheltenham have launched a manhunt for a suspect following a violent knife attack at a residence in the St Paul’s area on Monday, May 25.
Shane Walsh, 33, has been identified as the individual wanted in connection with the assault involving a man and a woman at the property. The attack left the woman with bruising and the man with knife wounds that required hospital treatment.
According to Gloucestershire Constabulary, Walsh, who resides on Brooklyn Gardens, allegedly entered the home between 1 pm and 2 pm, physically assaulting a woman, resulting in bruises to her face and arm. The suspect then reportedly attacked a man with a knife, causing lacerations to his arm. The injured man received treatment at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Two other women present in the property at the time were unharmed. Police were called to the scene around 9.10 pm but found the property empty on arrival. The three women and the injured man have since contacted authorities.
Officers are actively seeking Walsh and are asking the public for assistance in locating him. He is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 6in tall, medium build, with short brown hair, and is believed to still be in the Cheltenham area.
Authorities emphasize that if anyone encounters Walsh, they should not approach him and instead call 999 immediately.
