A striking sight unfolded on Gloucestershire’s roads this afternoon as a Red Arrow jet was transported along the motorway, leaving onlookers astonished. Sam Kendall, who was working near the motorway when the aircraft passed by, described the moment as “utterly mental.” He recounted having to do a double-take upon spotting the iconic bright red jet.
“Definitely not something I expected to see on a Monday,” Sam told GloucestershireLive. “I honestly thought my eyes were deceiving me!”
The jet, emblazoned with the Union Jack on its tailfin, was carefully carried on the back of a transporter lorry. According to local reports, a large container was scheduled to travel from Coleford to the M5 around midday.
