A significant theft occurred on a train traveling from London Paddington to Kemble on Friday, February 13, involving a suitcase filled with jewellery valued at over £4,500. A woman boarded the 9:32 am service at London Paddington, placing her suitcase in the luggage rack. Shortly after, a man who also boarded at Paddington was seen taking the suitcase. He then moved to a different carriage and exited the train.
British Transport Police have since recovered the suitcase, but the valuable jewellery inside was missing. CCTV footage capturing the man involved has been released as police believe he may have vital information regarding the theft.
