Authorities are investigating the sudden and unexplained death of a student at Hartpury College in Gloucester. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene on the morning of Friday, June 6, with Gloucestershire Police arriving around 11:25 a.m.
The college promptly informed parents and guardians via email about the heartbreaking incident. While the cause of death remains unexplained, police have stated that it is not believed to be suspicious. The student’s next of kin and the coroner have been notified, and officers are providing support to the family during this difficult time.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said, “Police were called to Hartpury College shortly after 11:25 a.m. on Friday following the report of a student’s death. Our officers continue to conduct enquiries, but there is no indication of suspicious circumstances.”

In a message to the college community, Principal Professor Andy Collop expressed deep sorrow: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a Hartpury College student earlier today. Our thoughts are with the student’s family, friends, and the staff who supported them.”
Hartpury College also emphasized its commitment to supporting those affected: “We are profoundly saddened by this loss. Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this very difficult time.
