Stroud E-Bike Sale Ends in Robbery at Knife Point

A 17-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint after arranging to meet a supposed buyer for his e-bike near Stroud. The victim had agreed to sell the bike to another teenage boy at a layby close to Alder Way in the Tanglewood Way area of Bussage on the evening of Monday, March 2.

Instead of paying for the bike, the suspect stole it and attempted to ride away. When the victim tried to intervene, the offender brandished a knife to intimidate him. Police report that the thief, dressed in dark clothing, sped off toward Bisley around 6:10 pm.

Gloucestershire Police have urged anyone who witnessed the incident or the suspect’s direction of travel to come forward. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported. Authorities are actively investigating the case to identify and apprehend the suspect.
