Strictly Star Kelvin Fletcher’s Awkward Reply to Jeremy Clarkson Teeth Joke

Kelvin Fletcher, known for his roles on Emmerdale and Strictly Come Dancing, has recently opened up about his new life as a farmer alongside his wife, Liz. Since acquiring a 120-acre farm near Wincle, Cheshire, in 2021, the couple have shared their experiences in the ITV show Fletchers' Family Farm.

Meanwhile, television presenter Jeremy Clarkson, 65, has been capturing audiences with his Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm, documenting his own farming journey at Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds. Both men have transitioned from their previous careers to embrace country life, drawing comparisons between their shows and lifestyles.

During an appearance on the Motorhome Matt podcast, host Matt Sims lightheartedly dubbed Kelvin “the good looking Clarkson in the farming world.” Kelvin responded warmly, saying, “I think Clarkson is pretty good looking anyway, so I’m the shorter version of him really, with a lot less ground and maybe a little less abrasive.”

The banter turned humorous when Matt added, “And better teeth,” prompting an awkward, “Oh, I don’t know… yeah, yeah, yeah,” from Kelvin, illustrating his good-natured acceptance of the joke.

Kelvin had previously touched on the comparisons between his show and Clarkson’s during a visit to ITV’s This Morning. He praised Clarkson’s Farm, describing it as “fantastic” and celebrating the influx of farming-related programming. “Clarkson’s got a huge endeavour there, a massive commercial business and it’s hilarious,” Kelvin said. “Ours is a little family farm. For us, it’s all about living.”

Fletchers’ Family Farm provides an intimate look into their daily lives, capturing the challenges and joys of rural living. Kelvin acknowledged the boldness of their decision to leave city life behind. “We haven’t come from farming backgrounds. We have literally taken a leap of faith, uprooted, and moved to the middle of nowhere to live off the land. As crazy as it sounds, that’s exactly what we have done.”

Fans can catch Fletchers' Country Workshop airing this Sunday at 4 pm on ITV1 and ITVX, offering a heartfelt glimpse into the Fletcher family’s countryside adventure.
