Strictly Come Dancing’s Julian Caillon and Balvinder Sopal Face Tough Week as Co-Star Exits

Strictly Come Dancing newcomers Julian Caillon and his professional dance partner Balvinder Sopal are facing a challenging week ahead. After narrowly dodging elimination last Saturday, the pair are once again pegged as the bookmakers’ favorites to leave the competition this week, facing tough odds of 100/1 according to Betway. This premature exit would prevent them from performing at the iconic Blackpool Tower, a coveted moment in the competition.

Trailing behind them are contestants Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and La Voix, with odds of 50/1 and 40/1 respectively to be eliminated this weekend. Meanwhile, George Clarke remains the favorite to win the entire contest, followed closely by Emmerdale’s Lewis Cope at 9/4 and Alex Kingston at 4/1, as reported by the Express.

Last week brought a surprising twist with the elimination of Ellie Goldstein and her partner Vito Coppola. After sharing the dance-off against Julian and Balvinder, the judges chose to save the EastEnders actor Julian, resulting in Ellie’s exit.

Ellie reflected warmly on her Strictly journey, sharing, “I’ve enjoyed it so much! He is a kind person and all I wanted from day one. You have been so heartwarming, thank you to you [Vito].” Vito Coppola responded emotionally, expressing deep gratitude and affection, saying, “Honestly, there are no words I can use to describe how proud I am of you… I always wanted a little sister, now I have one, and your big brother is always by your side.”

Earlier this week, Julian and Balvinder appeared on It Takes Two, where they candidly discussed the difficulties they’ve faced. Balvinder revealed the emotional toll of mastering the rumba: “Literally, on Tuesday, I’d thrown the towel in and went, ‘I can’t do it,’ I sat in a corner and cried. Jules was standing there and said, ‘When you’re ready, bro… we’ve got to get this done.'”

Strictly Come Dancing continues its live show this evening at 6.30pm on BBC One, where Julian and Balvinder will once again be competing to stay in the contest and avoid what could be another early exit.
