On Thursday, 27 August, the Severe Weather Updates Facebook page sparked further attention by posting about the possibility of tornadoes near Gloucester, asking if anyone had witnessed such phenomena. This prompted locals and weather enthusiasts to share photographs of ominous clouds and funnel shapes gathering in the sky.

Marie O’Connor of Twigworth captured a striking image of what appeared to be a large funnel cloud forming around 4pm on Thursday. She said, “It was huge. I’ve never seen anything like it. It looked like a huge tornado, but it obviously wasn’t. I thought it was very strange, but I can’t believe I got such a cool photo of it. Nature is amazing.”
Other residents reported seeing twin funnel clouds, and one described a rotating sky above her car as “quite scary.” These unusual atmospheric conditions have drawn considerable interest and concern as the weather warning continues.
