Stonehouse Town have secured their place in the Hellenic League Division One play-off final following a 3-1 victory over Bewdley Town on Tuesday evening. Josh Beadle gave the Magpies a lead by halftime, and despite Bewdley’s equalizer, late goals from Alfie Mann and Jamol Dare confirmed Stonehouse’s spot in the final set for Friday, May 1, against Malmesbury Victoria.
Meanwhile, Cirencester Town experienced disappointment as they lost 1-0 to Droitwich Spa in their Premier Division play-off semi-final. The decisive goal came from Josh Hurdman in the 81st minute, setting up a final between Droitwich Spa and Worcester Raiders. Cirencester’s play-off berth had earlier been secured thanks to a 4-2 win by Longlevens over Corsham Town.
Elsewhere, Longlevens edged up to fourth place with a convincing 3-0 win at Westfields, while Slimbridge celebrated clinching the Hellenic League Premier Division title with a 2-1 victory over Longlevens. Fairford Town finished seventh after a 2-0 win at Royal Wootton Bassett Town, and Cinderford Town secured eighth place following a comprehensive 6-0 win against Tuffley Rovers.

The season saw relegations too, with Lydney Town dropping to Division One after a 4-2 loss to Roman Glass St George. Cheltenham Saracens narrowly missed out on play-offs, finishing sixth, and Brimscombe & Thrupp ended seventh.
Over in the Southern League, Bishop’s Cleeve’s hopes of a top-five finish dimmed following a 3-0 defeat at Falmouth Town. Hartpury concluded their season in seventh place with a 2-1 win against Tavistock, while Evesham United face a crucial final match to avoid relegation after a 3-1 loss to Gosport Borough.
The County League witnessed Sharpness, despite a 3-2 defeat to Filton Athletic, continue at the summit with a subsequent 4-0 victory over Frampton United. Quedgeley Wanderers and Broadwell Amateurs struggled, while Chalford and Ruardean Hill Rangers experienced mixed results.
In the Northern Senior League, Longlevens Reserves maintain their lead in Division One after comprehensive wins, with other clubs like Dursley Town, Brockworth Albion, and Stonehouse Town Reserves also posting solid performances. Division Two sees Hardwicke near the title after a strong run, while Smiths Barometrics closed their campaign with an impressive 8-1 victory.
Women’s football action highlighted Cirencester Town’s success in the GFA Women’s Trophy, a triumph paired with solid league performances from Forest Green Rovers, Gloucester City, and others. Bishop’s Cleeve and Cheltenham Saracens maintained strong positions in county competitions, and multiple teams across the women’s divisions showcased exciting performances to close out their seasons.
