Sky Sports presenter Teddy Draper has unveiled a fresh approach to fitness in Gloucestershire with the launch of Triple Tonic, a unique outdoor exercise concept designed to promote holistic wellbeing. Rooted in three core pillars—fresh air, movement, and conversation—Triple Tonic encourages people to stay physically active while fostering social connections and boosting mental health.
“Triple Tonic isn’t a drink!” Draper clarified. “It’s based on three essential foundations: fresh air, movement, and meaningful conversation.” This concept aims to reconnect individuals with nature and each other, especially during colder months when the temptation to stay indoors grows stronger.
Drawing inspiration from his childhood love of sport, Draper wants to rekindle that youthful joy of outdoor play. “That feeling of chasing a ball outside, even in winter, stays with you," he said. “I want to create exercise sessions that are fun and uplifting, while also enhancing fitness, strength, and agility.”

As daylight diminishes and temperatures drop, Draper stresses the importance of resisting the urge to hibernate indoors. “We’re animals that need daylight and nature to thrive,” he explained. “In the UK, a bit of rain shouldn’t stop us. Just grab a good waterproof and embrace it.”
Triple Tonic sessions vary from structured workouts to casual ‘walk and talk’ gatherings, making them accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels. “Fundamentally, fresh air, movement, and conversation can be as simple as a walk with a friend around the park,” Draper noted. “It doesn’t need to be complicated.”
In light of Movember’s focus on mental health, Draper emphasizes exercise’s vital role in improving mood and wellbeing. Having participated in a session myself, I found the blend of physical activity and social interaction refreshing, both mentally and physically.
“Movement lifts your mood instantly and enhances happiness over time, especially when paired with conversation,” Draper said. “Sleep is also fundamental, and these elements all support each other.”
He also encourages people of all ages to prioritize fitness. “Research shows that muscle-building is possible well into your 70s and 80s. The earlier you start, the stronger your foundation, but it’s never too late to begin.”
