A sixth person has been arrested in connection with a serious incident that occurred near Bristol Airport. The event took place on the A38 around 8:25 am on Saturday, February 21, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
The incident began with a crash involving multiple vehicles, which escalated into a confrontation, resulting in two individuals being attacked and injured. Five men were initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on the M5 northbound in the Gloucestershire area.
The sixth individual faces charges of conspiring to commit robbery and wounding with intent. All six suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue. The two victims are currently receiving hospital treatment but are not believed to be in life-threatening condition.

Emergency services responded promptly, causing only minor traffic disruption on the A38 near the airport. Officers continue to secure the scene and conduct forensic and CCTV inquiries.
Superintendent Jen Appleford addressed community concerns: “While this incident is alarming, we do not believe there is any wider risk to the public. Those involved are known to each other, are from outside our force area, and this appears to be a self-contained event. We acted swiftly with multiple resources to resolve the situation, and the investigation is ongoing.”
