Six members of the Rock Machine Motorcycle Club have been sentenced to prison after a brutal, daylight assault on the president of a rival biker gang in Coleford, Gloucestershire.
The attackers – Lee Rogers, Billy Timmins, Robert Greenacre, Kyle Matthews, Darren Rimmer, and Ashley Lauterdale – orchestrated the violent ambush outside a busy town centre pub on April 5, 2025. The victim, a man in his 60s, suffered serious injuries including a brain bleed and a fractured jaw. His partner was also assaulted but sustained less severe injuries.
Police were called to Market Place in Coleford at 2:30 pm when multiple men exited vehicles and attacked the victim with metal poles before fleeing the scene in a convoy. Gloucestershire Police launched a Criminal Investigation Department inquiry and used CCTV footage to identify 11 suspects, resulting in arrests and charges.

At Bristol Crown Court, six of the men received prison terms ranging from nearly three to over six years. Rogers, Timmins, and Greenacre pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and violent disorder at the outset of the trial. Matthews, Rimmer, and Lauterdale were convicted by a jury, with Lauterdale receiving an additional conviction for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Acting Detective Sergeant Robert Humphreys emphasized the seriousness of the attack, stating, “This calculated and brazen assault will not be tolerated in Gloucestershire. We are committed to ensuring offenders face justice.”
Four other men involved—Luke Cole, Joshua Bell, Paul Price, and Mark Gibson—face sentencing later this year after pleading or being found guilty of violent disorder. Jordan Peers was acquitted of all charges.
This case underscores Gloucestershire police’s dedication to tackling organized violence and protecting the community from biker gang conflicts.
