Cheltenham is set to welcome its newest independent brewery as Siren Craft Brew announces the opening of its first site outside Berkshire. The renowned brewery will be taking over the former BrewDog premises in the Brewery Quarter, following BrewDog’s closure in March due to the company’s administration.
Founded in Berkshire in 2013, Siren Craft Brew has established itself as an award-winning brand with three venues across its home county. By 2026, it is projected to brew the equivalent of nearly four million pints annually. The Cheltenham venue will bring over 30 distinct lines of brewery-fresh beer, including cask ales, as well as wines, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages and a comprehensive food menu to the town centre.
The doors will open to the public from 4pm on Monday, 28 September. To mark the occasion, Siren Cheltenham will offer the first 1,000 pints of its acclaimed Gluten Free Session IPA, Lumina, free of charge during happy hour from 4pm to 5pm each day until Sunday, 4 October.

In addition, the brewery launched a Crowdfunder last month encouraging local support. Contributors will receive a 150% return on their investment, with the Crowdfunder closing on Wednesday, 23 September. Those who pledge will also gain access to a pre-launch party on Friday, 25 September, starting from 5.30pm.

The new brewery is situated on a site boasting over 230 years of brewing history, adding a rich heritage backdrop to Siren Craft Brew’s latest venture.
