Sir Tom Jones to Headline Historic Kingsholm Stadium Concert This Summer

Renowned music icon Sir Tom Jones is set to light up Gloucester this summer, marking the return of live concerts to Kingsholm Stadium after a hiatus since 2019.

The Kingsholm Summer Series will commence on Saturday, June 27, with a special performance by the Ministry of Sound Classical Orchestra. This unique 31-piece ensemble will blend classical music with iconic dance hits, creating a fresh and captivating musical experience.

The very next evening, June 28, Sir Tom Jones will take center stage, performing at Kingsholm Stadium for the first time in nearly a decade. Known for timeless classics such as “Sex Bomb” and “It’s Not Unusual,” Sir Tom previously dazzled packed audiences at Kingsholm in 2012 and again in 2017, drawing crowds of over 17,000.

With a remarkable career spanning more than 60 years, Sir Tom Jones has sold over 100 million records and earned numerous accolades including two Brit Awards, a Grammy, and a Golden Globe. His captivating catalogue promises an unforgettable summer night in Gloucester.

These performances signal a thrilling revival of major live events at Kingsholm, reinvigorating Gloucester’s cultural scene. Freemans Event Partners will oversee food and beverage offerings as well as fan zones to enhance the concert experience.

Gloucester Rugby Chief Executive Officer Alex Brown expressed excitement over the stadium’s renewed role as a concert venue: “Bringing concerts back to Kingsholm is a key milestone that enriches our city’s entertainment landscape and supports the club’s growth. Tickets for the Kingsholm Summer Series go on general sale Friday, March 6 at 10am. A 48-hour exclusive pre-sale begins Wednesday, March 4 at 10am for Gloucester Rugby Club members, who also enjoy discounted pricing.

General admission pitch standing tickets start at £54.50, with member prices from £49.50. Join the excitement as Gloucester’s iconic venue returns to its role as a vibrant hub for live music.
