Sir Chris Hoy, the six-time gold medallist and former Olympic cyclist, had a night of unexpected events during his stay at a hotel in Germany. While in Nürburg for the Ring Drivers' Convention, Hoy was startled at 4 am by a flooding bathroom caused by an overflowing bath from the room above. This unwelcome incident led to the Scottish sporting legend having to move to another room at an untimely hour.
In addition to this late-night escapade, Hoy had the opportunity to participate in the iconic Nürburgring event, where he enjoyed a passenger lap in a Porsche 992 GT3 RS with ex-Top Gear presenter, Chris Harris. Despite the unfortunate start to his morning, Hoy shared the events of the convention with his followers on social media.
In a separate post, Hoy also reflected on his battle with prostate cancer, which was diagnosed in February the previous year. Having learned that the cancer had spread to his bones, the Olympian is maintaining a positive outlook despite the terminal prognosis.
