Chloe Breen, a determined single mom, has opened her own barber shop after successfully completing barber school. Despite the challenges of juggling childcare and schooling, Chloe is looking forward to the future and excited to welcome new customers to her new business venture.
Chloe, now 27, entered the hair industry at 16 through a two-year hair apprenticeship with Reflections in Bristol, while also gaining experience at a hair salon in Wotton-under-Edge. She faced the difficulty of commuting to work and hairdressing school from Stroud but believes that this ultimately equipped her with the necessary skills for independence and self-sufficiency.
Reflecting on her journey, Chloe shared, “When I left school, I was uncertain about my future. I enrolled in an apprenticeship at Reflections in Bristol and worked at a salon in Wotton-under-Edge. The commute was challenging, especially before I got my driver’s license, but I believe it contributed to my maturity and independence at a young age.”
