Simon Cowell’s Wife Explains Why They Don’t Socialize with the Beckhams Despite Being Neighbours

Lauren Silverman, wife of Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell, has opened up about their relationship with their famous neighbours, the Beckhams. Although Simon and Lauren reside in the Cotswolds alongside a host of celebrities—including Kate Moss, Jeremy Clarkson, and even David and Victoria Beckham—they prefer to keep a low profile and don’t often mingle with the Beckhams.

In a recent interview with Closer magazine, Lauren explained, “We kind of keep ourselves to ourselves. It’s not like a full compound of celebs there.” Despite being just a short distance from the Beckhams’ home, the Cowells rarely take the opportunity to socialise with them.

However, the Cowells do maintain a close friendship with fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli. Lauren affectionately refers to him as “Uncle Bruno,” and he is a frequent guest at their stylish Cotswolds residence. “Bruno is like family to us. We switch off properly,” she shared.

Bruno added, “Switching off is so important. I love reading my books.” Lauren continued, “We also watch movies, do yoga, and go clay pigeon shooting together.”

As the Cowells enjoy their rural retreat, they are reportedly planning to enhance their home with a 793-square-foot “party barn,” according to recent reports from the Daily Mail. Meanwhile, the Beckhams, who purchased their Cotswolds estate in 2016, have invested heavily in upgrades, including a sauna, plunge pool, football pitch, gym, and swimming pool, boosting their property’s value to an estimated £12 million.

Away from neighbourhood dynamics, Simon Cowell is gearing up to join judges Bruno Tonioli, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden for the Britain’s Got Talent final this weekend. The competition narrows to its last 10 acts, with the public voting to decide the winner on Saturday, May 31.
