Shoplifter Nicknamed ‘Red Shoes’ Banned from Multiple Evesham Stores Including Boots and M&S

A repeat shoplifter known locally as ‘Red Shoes’ has been legally banned from entering seven shops across Evesham, following a series of theft offences. Wojciech Wieczorek, 44, currently of no fixed address, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on June 25, where a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) and suspended sentence were issued in response to his continued offending.

Wieczorek received an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months due to multiple shoplifting incidents and breaches of his previous Community Protection Notice. In addition, the two-year CBO prohibits him from entering key retail outlets including Boots, Marks & Spencer, Home Bargains, and Spar stores in the town.

PC Matt Beards, part of the Evesham Town Centre policing team, emphasized the importance of this order in protecting local businesses. “We hope this CBO sends a clear message that crimes against retailers will not be tolerated. Shoplifting not only affects the stores financially but can also impact prices and services for customers,” he said.

Authorities encourage anyone who spots Wieczorek entering the banned shops to report their observations promptly via the West Mercia Police website. The move aims to safeguard retailers and maintain a safe shopping environment in Evesham.
