A cyclist in his 60s was discovered unconscious and seriously injured on London Road in Stroud yesterday morning, prompting an urgent hospital admission. The man was found near the BP Garage after members of the public notified authorities.
Police reports indicate the cyclist left Five Valleys at around 9:15 a.m., and it is believed he may have been unconscious for approximately 30 minutes before being located around 10:00 a.m. He was wearing a distinctive yellow jacket, helmet, backpack, and blue trousers at the time.
Currently receiving treatment at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, the exact cause and circumstances of the injuries remain unknown. Gloucestershire Police are actively investigating and have appealed to anyone in the area during the incident or who saw the cyclist to come forward.
