A man riding an e-scooter was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision in Cheltenham late on the night of Saturday, January 24. Emergency services were alerted around 11pm after the ambulance service reported a crash involving a vehicle, believed to be white, and the e-scooter rider.
The incident occurred on St Paul’s Road near the junction with Folly Lane. Gloucestershire Police confirmed that the rider sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to Southmead Hospital by paramedics.
The driver of the white vehicle failed to stop at the scene, leaving emergency responders and police to launch an urgent investigation. The vehicle is believed to have front-end damage from the collision.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a white vehicle matching this description in the area after 11pm on January 24 to come forward. They are particularly interested in any dashcam footage or eyewitness accounts.
Road closures remain in place as officers continue their investigation at the site of the collision.
