An elderly woman was hospitalized with a head injury after being struck by a car in a Gloucester supermarket car park.
According to police reports, a red Volkswagen Golf was reversing out of a parking space at the Co-op car park on Cheltenham Road in Longlevens when it collided with a woman in her 70s.
Although the driver and another man assisted the woman to a nearby bench immediately after the incident, the driver then left the scene.

Emergency medical teams examined the woman before transporting her to hospital for treatment of her head injury.
The collision occurred between 9:35 and 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, 19 March. Gloucestershire Police have now issued an appeal for the driver of the Volkswagen to come forward.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said, “We are seeking the driver involved in this collision to get in touch. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police via our website, quoting incident 128 of 19 March.”
