Authorities are seeking the driver of a red Volkswagen Golf who struck an elderly woman in her 70s while reversing out of a parking space at the Co-op car park in Longlevens, Gloucester. The incident occurred between 9:35 and 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, March 19.
According to Gloucestershire Police, the driver and another man assisted the woman to a nearby bench immediately following the collision. Despite helping her initially, the driver left the scene before emergency services arrived. Paramedics from South West Ambulance Service treated the woman on site and transported her to hospital with a head injury.
Police have launched an appeal asking the driver to come forward and anyone with information to contact them, referencing incident 128 of March 19. Investigators have emphasized the importance of locating the driver to aid in the ongoing inquiry.
