‘Sad day’ as popular Harvester restaurant closes for good

The beloved Harvester restaurant at Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke, South Gloucestershire, has closed permanently as of Sunday, June 1. After years of welcoming patrons, the venue said its emotional farewell this week.

Staff took to social media to express their feelings, posting, “Today we close our doors for the last time at Harvester Willow Brook. It’s a sad day for all the team involved.” They also extended heartfelt thanks to guests, friends, family, and the entire team for their ongoing support.

The restaurant’s Google listing now marks it as “permanently closed,” and Harvester’s official website confirms the closure, stating the venue has shut as a Harvester to make way for “something new and exciting.” Directions to the nearest Harvester are available via their online locator.

While the next chapter for the location is yet to be announced, the closure has sparked conversations among residents and regulars. Some expressed hope for a new establishment, like a Wetherspoons, while many thanked the Harvester staff for their years of service and wished them well in their future endeavors.

Customers also voiced concerns about the team’s future employment and noted the impact of the closure on personal plans and upcoming events. Speculation around rising costs possibly influencing the shutdown has been widespread, although the Harvester team has not confirmed these theories.

Meanwhile, the closest Harvester to Bradley Stoke appears to be the revamped Snuff Mills venue on Frenchay Park Road, which recently reopened after a month-long renovation. The refreshed location boasts updated decor, including a charming hot air balloon mural and a modern cozy atmosphere.
