Warriors started strong, scoring early through hooker Austin Wallis, but Hartpury quickly took control with four rapid tries, spearheaded by Ollie Holliday’s brace and strong finishes from Jarrad Hayler and Peter Paramore. Despite Warriors' determined comeback attempts, including tries from Hallam Chapman, James Tyas, and Thabo Ndimande, Hartpury’s Harry Bazalgette’s two crucial second-half penalty kicks sealed the win for the visitors.

Nailsea & Backwell maintained their lead in Counties 1 Western North with a 5-0 victory over Gordon League, while Dings Crusaders II secured a 39-17 win against Chosen Hill Former Pupils.
In Counties 2 Gloucestershire, Frampton Cotterell stretched their lead over Smiths Rugby after a commanding 53-5 victory at Dursley. Smiths responded emphatically with a 51-13 away win over Old Patesians, highlighted by Charles Peters’ hat-trick. Cinderford II continued their strong run with a 36-7 win at Old Elizabethans.
Other notable results included St Mary’s Old Boys’ 65-7 triumph over Tewkesbury, Stroud’s 47-10 win against Old Richians featuring Joe Ashenford’s hat-trick, and Bream’s seven-try 49-38 victory over Cheltenham North. In Counties 2 Dorset & Wilts North, Westbury defeated Fairford 21-10.
Cirencester remain atop Counties 3 Gloucestershire North, cruising to a 36-3 win over Brockworth. Hucclecote and Bredon Star secured second and third place respectively, with strong performances over Cheltenham Saracens and Old Cryptians. Coney Hill also recorded a solid 26-15 victory against Berry Hill, while Lydney II were awarded a walkover against Spartans. Smiths Rugby II dominated Cheltenham Civil Service 5 with a 50-5 victory, and Widden Old Boys edged Ledbury II 29-15.
Women’s rugby highlights featured Cheltenham Tigers’ dominant 97-0 victory over Novocastrians in Women’s Championship North 1, positioning them just two points shy of leaders Sale FC 1861, who won 80-0 against Blaydon Red Kites. Drybrook’s skipper Stevie Liddiatt starred with a hat-trick in a 39-3 win over Hucclecote in NC1 South West (East), while Fairford secured a 29-12 victory against Cheltenham Civil Service in NC3 South West (North).
In support of women’s rugby growth, Longlevens and Minchinhampton rugby clubs secured grants up to £5,000 from Volvic’s Force of Nature Fund, an initiative designed to remove barriers and promote female participation in rugby. Longlevens plan to launch a mixed-ability rugby outreach program and support novice female coaches, while Minchinhampton will invest in portable floodlights to enable consistent training opportunities throughout the year. Both clubs are committed to fostering inclusivity and expanding the female rugby community.
