Robbie Savage, currently the manager of Forest Green Rovers, is poised to leave the club following an official job offer from Peterborough United.
The announcement came shortly after Forest Green Rovers (FGR) granted Savage permission to enter into discussions with another club. This development follows earlier reports linking him to the managerial vacancy at Peterborough United.
In an official statement, FGR Chairman Dale Vince said: “We have given Robbie Savage permission to speak to Peterborough. He wanted to leave the club for personal reasons, which we fully understand and respect. He has been offered the job, and we are now in negotiations with Peterborough regarding the terms. We wish Robbie the very best.”

Savage took the helm at Forest Green in July 2025, having previously managed non-league side Macclesfield Town. Currently, Forest Green Rovers sit 12th in the National League table after 10 matches, with a record comprising four wins, two draws and four defeats.
