Farmfield Road, the stretch outside Warden Hill Primary School in Cheltenham, will be closed during school hours each day from Monday, May 18 until Tuesday, May 26 for resurfacing work. The closure will take place between 9am and 3pm, ensuring it does not interfere with school drop-off or pick-up times, as the gates open at 8:35am and close at 3:15pm.
The closure will cover approximately half a mile of Farmfield Road, spanning from Shurdington Road to Salisbury Avenue, and extend along Chelmsford Avenue up to St Albans Close. A temporary diversion will be in place via Salisbury Avenue, reconnecting with Farmfield Road and St Albans Close at either end to facilitate smooth traffic flow.
Gloucestershire County Council’s Highways team cautions that the resurfacing schedule may be subject to change due to unpredictable weather conditions or technical issues, such as equipment breakdowns. Residents and commuters are advised to plan accordingly and stay informed through official council updates.
