Road Closures Continue Following Fatal Chalford House Fire

A devastating fire broke out at a home on Cirencester Road near Stroud late Monday evening, January 12, leaving a man dead and disrupting the local community. Around 20 homes lost power as emergency services responded swiftly to the blaze at approximately 10:20 pm.

Emergency crews, including firefighters and police officers, arrived promptly and searched the property, where the body of a man was tragically discovered. Gloucestershire Police confirmed that next of kin have been informed, and investigation efforts are ongoing.

As of Wednesday, January 14, both Cirencester Road and Gypsy Lane remain closed to allow for continuing investigative and safety work in the area. One nearby property was evacuated as a precaution due to the fire.
