Sharing the news of a loved one’s passing in our local community is a tradition rooted in respect and compassion. We take great pride in being entrusted with these important announcements, providing a lasting tribute that connects families and friends during difficult times.
Each notice published in our newspaper and on our news website is also featured on funeral-notices.co.uk, the UK’s leading platform for death notices and memorials. Notices remain online indefinitely, offering a secure space for loved ones to share memories, photographs, and tributes, and to make donations in honour of the departed.
Every week, we pay tribute to those from our community who have recently passed away, presenting funeral details and links to their online tribute pages. To add your own tribute or create a funeral notice, please contact our caring team at 01482 908084.
Among those we remember this week:
Linda Airey, who passed peacefully after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Her funeral will be held at Cheltenham Crematorium’s Willow Chapel on 24th November. Friends attending are encouraged to wear attire that reflects Linda’s vibrant spirit. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Richard, a brave soul who faced cancer with dignity, will be dearly missed by wife Liz and their family. His service is scheduled for 25th November at Gloucester Crematorium.
Jane Dix, dearly loved mother and grandmother, will be honoured at Holy Trinity Church, Longlevens, followed by burial at Coney Hill Cemetery. A gathering to share memories will follow at Hatherley Manor Hotel.
Bill, a beloved brother and friend, will be remembered at St Mary’s Church, Newent.
Other tributes include Peter of Churchdown, Vicky of Cheltenham, Romy née Hall, John Gould of Cheltenham, and many more, each honoured with funeral details, requests for family flowers or donations to charities close to their hearts.
Through these tributes, we remember the invaluable contributions each individual made to their families and communities. Our condolences are with all who mourn these losses. May their memories be a blessing and source of comfort.
