Record £208m EuroMillions Jackpot Claimed by Single Winner

A single EuroMillions ticket holder in Ireland has won the lottery’s biggest jackpot ever, claiming a staggering £208 million on Tuesday, June 17. The winning numbers were 13, 22, 23, 44, and 49, with Lucky Stars 03 and 05.

This extraordinary win places the victor’s net worth above that of famous personalities like football star Harry Kane and pop icon Dua Lipa, who are valued at approximately £115 million and £110 million respectively. The winner is expected to secure a spot on The Sunday Times Rich List 2025, though it remains unclear whether they will choose to remain anonymous or step into the public eye.

The EuroMillions jackpot had been rolling over for several weeks, steadily increasing to this record-breaking sum. The maximum prize pot for EuroMillions is capped at €250 million, and players have five draws to claim this life-changing prize.

Despite this historic single win, organizers urge participants to check their tickets carefully, as many smaller prizes remain to be claimed. Last week’s draw saw no jackpot winner, but four ticket holders, including one from the UK, each took home over £4.5 million, while three other UK players won more than £20,600 each.

Additionally, in the Thunderball draw held at 8 PM, a lucky player took home the £500,000 top prize with the numbers 2, 6, 12, 17, and Thunderball 7.

Research shows that winners of over £10 million typically donate around 24.5% of their winnings, with 91% dedicating time or funds to charitable causes. Remarkably, 10% of these fortunate individuals have also helped make someone else a millionaire through their generosity.
