In a remarkable National Lottery Lotto draw held last night (Wednesday, May 21), six fortunate ticket-holders each won £1 million. Two players hit the jackpot by matching all six winning numbers in the £2 million top prize game, resulting in a rare split of the jackpot — £1 million for each winner.
Additionally, four players secured £1 million each by matching five of the six main numbers plus the bonus ball. The winning Lotto numbers drawn were 5, 6, 16, 20, 30, and 36, with the bonus number 2. The draw was conducted using set of balls eight and the Guinevere machine.
Looking ahead, Saturday’s jackpot is estimated to reach £3.8 million, promising another thrilling opportunity for players.
Beyond the millionaire winners, there were 71 players who matched five out of six numbers, winning £1,750 each. Meanwhile, no one claimed the £350,000 Lotto HotPicks jackpot, although 16 participants who matched four out of five numbers took home £13,000 each. HotPicks uses the same set of numbers as the main Lotto draw.
In the Thunderball draw, the weekend numbers were 6, 12, 20, 33, 34, with the Thunderball number 4. While no player matched all five numbers plus the Thunderball to win the £500,000 top prize, one lucky winner matched all five numbers and received £5,000.
