Have you ever dreamed of traveling the world? Now’s your chance to turn that dream into reality by applying for the latest series of the award-winning BBC show, Race Across The World. The casting team is especially eager to invite applicants from Gloucestershire to join the adventure.
Currently casting for its sixth season, this BAFTA-winning competition will start filming later this year. Produced by Studio Lambert, the show pits five pairs of contestants against each other as they race across continents and oceans, using only a limited budget and without flying.
Teams of two must rely on land and sea travel, carry only cash, and are restricted from using electronic devices or credit cards. They navigate their journey with the help of a GPS tracker, a travel guide containing local job adverts, and their wits. The first duo to reach the final destination wins a £20,000 cash prize.

Since its debut in March 2019, Race Across The World has captivated audiences with journeys such as Greenwich to Singapore, Mexico City to Argentina, Japan to Indonesia, and north-east China to India’s southern tip. The show also featured celebrity editions in recent years, drawing well-known personalities like ITV weather presenter Alex Beresford, BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills, and broadcaster Roman Kemp.
Whether you’re an experienced traveler or a complete beginner, the opportunity is open to all. Don’t miss your chance to apply — submissions close at the end of this month.
