The Greyhound, a beloved pub located near the busy A40/A417 junction in Longlevens, Gloucester, has temporarily closed its doors for an extensive £305,000 refurbishment. This ambitious project will transform the venue into a “two-in-one” pub, offering distinct spaces tailored to both locals and families.
Scheduled to reopen on December 10, Marston’s Two Door Pub: The Greyhound will feature two unique areas separated by a central partition. One side will serve as a lively locals’ bar, perfect for enjoying drinks and socializing. The other side will be a cozy family lounge, thoughtfully designed to create a warm and welcoming environment for guests of all ages.
The new family lounge aims to cater specifically to families, with a dedicated menu boasting comforting pub classics and a kids’ menu that includes smaller portions and an engaging “build-your-own” meal option for younger children. This inclusive approach ensures that every member of the family feels accommodated and valued.
