Kayleigh McConnon, a 37-year-old with no fixed address, has been sentenced to 66 weeks in prison following a series of shoplifting offenses at Tesco and Superdry stores in Cheltenham.
McConnon appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 11, where she pleaded guilty to multiple counts of theft from retail premises and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Previously, in October 2025, McConnon was issued a CBO after admitting to the theft of perfume sets valued at £387. This order restricted her from entering most retail outlets in Cheltenham, except for five approved locations including the Tesco Superstore on Colletts Drive and Primark on Cheltenham High Street.

Despite the restrictions, McConnon repeatedly entered shops, stealing food, drinks, and clothing. She was reported to have shoplifted several hundred pounds' worth of goods from Tesco Express on Hewlett Road on three separate occasions. Additionally, she stole a bag full of clothing items worth several hundred pounds from Superdry.
Following investigations by the Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing Team, McConnon was arrested on February 10. She faced charges for five counts of theft and five breaches of the Criminal Behaviour Order.
Policing officer PC Louis Gilbert emphasized the impact of McConnon’s repeated offenses on local businesses and expressed satisfaction with her sentencing. He affirmed the team’s commitment to tackling retail crime and thanked colleagues for their dedicated efforts.
