Marika Badzova, known for a history of shoplifting and intimidating behaviour, has been issued with an injunction banning her from a range of businesses throughout Gloucestershire.
This measure follows numerous reports of Badzova’s conduct, which has left both staff and members of the public feeling threatened. On several occasions, employees have been hesitant to report incidents due to fears of further abuse.
Gloucester City Council highlighted that Badzova’s actions over time have included shop thefts, aggressive and intimidating behaviour, threats of violence, racial abuse, and assaults.

As a result, she is now prohibited from entering any businesses associated with the City Safe scheme across the county.
The council is urging anyone who observes Badzova breaching the injunction to contact the police immediately.
Morag Gordon, Engagement Officer at Gloucester City Council, emphasised the authority’s approach, stating: “When individuals face complex challenges, our priority is to encourage them to seek support and treatment available. However, if such support is repeatedly declined and anti-social behaviour continues, we will take enforcement action to safeguard the wider community.
“This civil injunction clearly communicates that abuse, intimidation and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated, ensuring residents, visitors and those working in our city can remain free from fear of threatening or abusive conduct by Marika Badzova.”
Inspector James O’Neill from the Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team added: “Anti-social behaviour and shoplifting impact our communities and are not victimless crimes. This enforcement action reflects our ongoing commitment to target individuals whose actions harm residents and local businesses.”
